Total Improv Kids

Total Improv Kids is a one of a kind school that uses the art of theatrical improvisation to offer children a fun and exciting means of tapping into and expanding their imaginations, nurturing important life skills, and allowing children to find the greatest potential in themselves and each other.

A NOTE FROM LINDA FULTON
Linda Fulton and GizmoThere is nothing more incredible than seeing a kid truly explore their own imagination.

And that is what Total Improv Kids is ultimately all about. We want to provide an outlet like no other for children to use their own minds creatively and without judgment. We want to help them get in touch with their imagination and discover all the possibilities that live there. Simply put, we want to help them pretend and play, showing them all they can learn about life, their surroundings, others and themselves in the process.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve found that kids are hungry to use their imagination and I can honestly say that there is no better way to feed that need than through improv. It opens them up, exercises their minds, allows for anything and everything to happen. Plus, it’s just plain fun and that’s something that kids need more of these days.

But improv offers so much more. As many of my students have stayed with me for several years, I have been lucky enough to witness their personal growth. I have seen kids with insecurities grow in their confidence and feelings of self-worth. I have seen shy kids become leaders. I have seen the loners form deep friendships that come from constantly connecting with and trusting each other.

I have seen parents amazed, audiences wowed and most importantly, I have seen students reach their highest potential. Improv encourages so many of the life lessons we all need, be it communicating, dedication, hard work, sharing, etc. It helps people bond. It helps people find their own true voice and learn how to feel better about themselves. It teaches success and the importance of always striving for the goals we set, while also staying in and appreciating the present moment.

Mostly though, improv opens up the imagination and when that’s opened up, especially in a child, there is no limit to the possibilities.
