Stephen J. Miller
Writer of The Seven-Second Itch

Stephen J. Miller is a playwright, consultant and film critic who has been obsessively writing plays since he was eight. His shows include recent, critically-acclaimed productions in New York City, Chicago, and Leeds, UK. In 1993, Steve won the David T. Morgan Writing Award. His full-length comedy Leaving Neverland (written with David Almeida) garnered sold-out crowds in both Tallahassee and Orlando. He and Almeida have two hit Fringe musicals: My Big Fat Gay Wedding and Whipping Willy Wonker. He also wrote Clothes Encounter, Sons of the Revolution and Intermission, the latter which was helmed by off-Broadway director Chris Jorie. In early 2008, Stephen was honored with a night of his short plays at the Bay Street Theatre. In May, Here Be Dragons premiered and won Patron’s Pick at the 2008 Orlando International Fringe Festival. In June and July, his adaptation of Willa Cather’s My Ántonia premiered in Wisconsin.
