Nicholas Bailey
Writer of A Fairly Good Coffee Shop

Nicholas is a senior at Denison University, where he is majoring in Creative Writing and Political Science. He is a native of Minneapolis, MN, where his mother, father, and stepfather are all actors. Nick's one-act, A Fairly Good Coffee Shop, came about when his playwriting instructor, Arthur Kopit, told him to "write the world's worst play." Another "worst play" he wrote is featured on the Denison University iTunes U podcast as a radio play; it stars Nick, two of his friends, and Arthur Kopit as himself. While at school Nick also acts; plays alto sax in the jazz ensemble; piano on his own time; DJ's for the radio station, the Doobie; is senior editor for the daily student humor and commentary paper, the Bullsheet; and performs in Denison's improv troupe, Burpee's Seedy Theatrical Co. He is thrilled to have this be his first produced show.
