Theatre Unleashed is celebrating the music of Pink Floyd with another of its signature 24-hour playfests…When Pigs Fly. The evening before the show, writers will be given a specific topic based on a song, tons of caffeine and just a single night to write a short play. It will immediately be handed over to a director and a few actors who have only that morning and afternoon to produce their piece. Theatre Unleashed will then showcase the end results that night along with stand up from some of the company’s favorite local comedians.

Before presenting the West Coast Premiere on its Main Stage, Theatre Unleashed is offering a SNEAK PEAK of the cult classic superhero musical The Spidey Project: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility. The Broadway parody that made waves on the East Coast follows nerdy social outcast Peter Parker as he takes on an alter ego to battle a dastardly collection of terrifying villains and perhaps his biggest nemesis of all…himself. An Evening With Spidey and Friends takes place at the NerdMelt Theater and features the cast performing musical numbers from the show, stand up comics (Darren T. Mangler, TU's own Josh Morrison!), illusionists (the incredible Modern Deceptionist David Blatter!) and improv artists The 400 Cat performing superhero related material!

TU is pleased to bring this heart-warming tale back to the stage with It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play. The show takes place at KAWL, a struggling 1940s radio station that good-hearted owner Michael Anderson is barely keeping alive. He calls on some old friends (with big personalities) and some less-than-professional station employees to offer up the touching masterpiece in what might sadly be the station’s last live show. But it is the holidays, a time when miracles can happen…
