At its core, the mission of Theatre Unleashed is simple: to work together as one, passionately and professionally, in creating truly remarkable theatre. Theatre Unleashed celebrates the creative collaboration process by encouraging its members to explore fresh, thought-provoking approaches to both original works and established shows. Theatre Unleashed will experiment with various forms of multimedia to heighten the entertainment experience while staying true to the playwright’s words, characters and thematic intent. Story-telling is the driving force behind any Theatre Unleashed production as the company pledges to push its artistic boundaries, striving to reach that emotional resonance with our audience that only live theatre can create.
In a city full of live theatre, Theatre Unleashed will continue to be the most ambitious company, dedicated to keeping each production of the highest quality. From its Main Stage season, to its Late Night shows, Fringe shows, Children's Shows, etc., we provide a vast and eclectic assortment of challenging, relevant and whimsical entertainment for all. Our full season will be selected and presented around the beginning of each year.
Theatre Unleashed is a nonprofit corporation and takes a professional approach to all business affairs. Through bylaws and policies, the company has established processes for everything from submitting scripts to putting up shows, ensuring consistency and professionalism in each and every aspect of our business.

Having been a nomadic group since our inception, we’re happy to consider Los Angeles at large as our home. Theatre Unleashed enjoys exploring all of the wonderful spaces L.A. has to offer and brining our unique brand of art and entertainment to different neighborhoods throughout the city.
Theatre Unleashed is a collaborative venture, allowing all company members equal opportunity to lead and contribute. From the selection of the seasons, development of shows and marketing campaigns to designing and performing; all stages of the process are open for its members to share in creating a collective vision.
Theatre Unleashed is open with its members about any and all business and creative affairs that will affect the general membership and the company as a whole. This includes keeping an open dialogue with the company on everything ranging from financial transactions to artistic choices, company business, feedback, etc.
Theatre Unleashed is a dues-paying company. The company charges its members $40 per month. All funding is put into the theatre company and its productions.
Theatre Unleashed seeks collaboration with the Los Angeles artistic community as a whole and will always explore potential partnerships with other theatre companies, community organizations, businesses and so on.
As part of its goal to provide multiple artistic opportunities for its members, Theatre Unleashed will continue to explore education through creativity with programs geared towards helping our artists grow, including writer and director workshops, design internships, classes, seminars and even acting support groups.
As a company, we believe the only way theatre will survive is to pass our passion for the arts to the youth. Thus, our company is developing a children’s division for live theatre which will include a selection of classes to help further enlighten the community to the importance of live theatre not only in our lives but in the lives of the growing minds that will follow in our footsteps.
Further, Theatre Unleashed is dedicated to learning. We believe that remarkable theatre and a successful business only happens when its members and its leadership are open to growth.
