Born and bred in Los Angeles, Courtney is one of the rare natives pursuing an entertainment career.  Technically, she’s a Valley Girl (although, like, hopefully it, like, doesn’t, like show too much)--hailing from Northridge, where, yes, she did live through THE earthquake.

While she had an agent for a minute at the tender age of three, things really picked up in early Junior High, when she got into school plays and children’s’ theater (mostly musicals).  She tried to secure another agent, but again and again was told she looked too old and was too tall for her age (at 11, she was called back for a 14 year old role and no one even blinked).

Courtney was accepted to the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (like the school in FAME), and that’s where her real acting training began.  She went on to UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television, majoring in Acting.  While she was there, she became one of two heads of Theatre Underground, an organization that helped find spaces and funding for student produced pieces, including Theatrefest, a massive 72 hour festival which crammed as many shows into as many spaces as possible, at all hours (including several of her own productions).

Since graduation, she’s landed a number of independent and student films, with characters ranging from a manipulative wife (The Lottery) to the victim in a horror flick (festival darling Sharp).  She was also proud to produce and star as Evelyn in a production of Neil Labute’s The Shape of Things, and hopes to continue to raise the bar for theater in Los Angeles as both producer and actor.

Since she finally feels that her age, height, and looks are a match, there’s no stopping her now.
