#lathtr folks! It's been far too long since we last had a get-together, and something needs to be done about it! Theatre Unleashed would like to invite you to join us at our rehearsal space (the Latvian Community Center at 1955 Riverside Drive) on January 22nd, 2012 for the first #lathtr Tweetup of the year! It's been a while since we last got together and talked about what's going on 'round here. Come bring your business cards and a snack to share. There is a bar at the community center, so hard and soft beverages will be available.

There is some concern about making a tweetup "worth our time" and not having it turn into some sort of gripe-fest, so we're proposing some topics of conversation for the evening. When you RSVP, please let us know which one you'd like to discuss. The most popular one will be chosen as the topic for that night no later than two weeks before the get-together, so come prepared with questions and ideas relating to it.

Proposed topics:

• Your Board of Directors - How to recruit good board members and use them effectively.
• How did we get here? Navigating the myriad responsibilities of an accidental artist-turned-administrator.
• How to cultivate and grow a theatre-going culture in L.A.
• Potential mentorship and collaboration opportunities between mid-sized companies and small ones.
• Budgets and Bottom Lines - How do you pay for your productions?

Those are our suggestions for topics for January. Please RSVP here and give us your pick for a topic as soon as possible!

Hopefully we can turn this into a regular, monthly get-together with different groups hosting, and a new topic to tackle each month.
