Lana was born and raised in beautiful Riga, Latvia. She always wanted to be a professional actress, but when she mentioned this to her parents about studying it in Moscow, her father laughed so hard, he cried. "Why Moscow? Go straight to Hollywood!" Wanting to keep her parents happy, she graduated from Riga Technical University witha BS in Economics.

While in school, she spent all her free time rehearsing and performing at the Cameron Studio Theatre. She came to the United States in 2002 to complete her MBA. She tried giving up acting. Honest! But that didn't happen; by 2004 she was actively pursuing her dream in New York City, working with the great Russian director and acting coach Aleksey Burago. She has now taken her father's advice and is acting in Hollywood (Hi, dad!)
