"Wonderfully written, Friends Like These is a must see play and will put a knot in your stomach by the end."

breaking radio silence

Hey y'all! Sorry I haven't been on here more lately. Things have been crazy busy with both my day job and Theatre Unleashed lately. Crazy. Busy. Anyhow, I'm pleased to say that I have finally managed to compile the addresses of our Exec Producer, Angel and Archangel donors. Those gifts are going out this week (yes, I know I've said that before, but this turned out to be a MUCH larger project than I thought). In other news, I also finally managed to get the traditional trading cards designed for the cast of the SET Group production of Friends Like These. Check 'em out:

I'm still waiting to hear back from Steele Spring about whether or not they're interested in managing the rights to the show. However, I have decided that regardless of whether they want to do it or not, I'm going to self-publish the first edition of the script. That's right, Friends Like These will be available to the general public in print before the end of 2011. I already have a plan for it to be available through this website and through Amazon.com. It will have its own ISBN number and I hope it will find its way on to your bookshelf.

Finally, remeber how I shared a few months ago that there was a high school student interested in mounting a production of the show himself? Well, it's finally happening. Tim Ashworth, son of my friend and fellow member of Theatre Unleashed, Tom Ashworth, will be directing a production of Friends Like These at his high school. I don't have many details yet, but as soon as I hear more, I'll certainly share it on here. The production is due to go up towards the end of the school year. I'm very excited to see the script in the hands of real high school students and find out what they'll do with it. Can't wait!
