Alex Egan has appeared in many Los Angeles area productions at theaters including the Odyssey Theater Ensemble and South Coast Repertory. He was a member of both The Groundlings Sunday Company and Acme Comedy Company. After graduating from Occidental College he completed an internship at New York's famed Circle Repertory Company. He then completed the two-year Meisner training program with William Esper at the William Esper Studio. He also holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the faculty at the Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio.
