Dead Beat Poets Society presents LA Stories

Theatre Unleashed presents the infamous Dead Beat Poets Society one night only at The Complex, Saturday June 28 at 10 p.m.. After a successful appearance at Ground Control, the Dead Beaters now present L.A. Stories, featuring some of the company's top performers showcasing their spoken word skills as they tackle lyrics to some of the best songs about life in Los Angeles... dead beat poetry style! That's right, there's no singing here, but rather a serious (and hilarious) "reading" of all those songs that celebrate the absurdity of life in the City of Angels. The Dead Beat Poets Society has become one of the most popular events in Hollywood... come join the fun.

The Return of Dead Beat Poets Society!!!

DEADBEAT POETS SOCIETY
Darkness, Pain and Eyeliner

Theatre Unleashed proudly announces the return of the infamous Dead Beat Poets Society, with the help of Ground Control at the legendary Catch One nightclub in Los Angeles.

Marking their return after a brief hiatus, the Dead Beaters present Darkness, Pain and Eyeliner, featuring some of the company's top performers showcasing their spoken word skills as they tackle lyrics to some of the best goth, emo and industrial songs... dead beat poetry style! That's right, there's no singing here, but rather a serious (and hilarious) "reading" of all those songs that help you deal with the bleakness and misery of life. Think William Shatner doing Nine Inch Nails or Mike Myers (So I Married an Axe Murderer) doing The Cure.

Ground Control regulars will accompany the Society with some karaoke classics from the same genre of despair. The Dead Beat Poets Society has become one of the most popular events in Hollywood…come join the fun.
