Theatre Unleashed is a newly formed theatre company that is a highly organized, artistically motivated force looking for fellow artists to partake in creating something spectacular in the world of live theatre in Los Angeles. To be a part of this, please prepare a one minute contemporary monologue and a one minute classical monologue for your audition. Contact Gregory Crafts by Friday, February 29th to schedule an audition.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you writers out there know we're extending our deadline for one act plays two weeks! We have three plays selected and are seeking ONE more to round out our first theatrical offering! If you've got a play you'd like to submit, please send it to artistic director Phil Kelly. The new deadline is March 9th.

Here's a statement from Phil about what we're looking for in this final One Act:
"We're looking for a One Act to round out our evening of one acts. We will consider an orignal unproduced work or a show that has had a small production run elsewhere. The show should consist of 3 or more characters, have a running time of approximately 17-25 minutes and be based in Los Angeles. We're dealing with what affects people in Los Angeles. Political climates, personal climates, religious climates - what we as Los Angelinos have to deal with, what we're affected by. What makes LA unique. The deadline is March 9th. The technical requirements should be minimal; the plays will be mounted in a black box theatre. Character, story and theme based shows a plus. Women heavy shows are a plus."

Theatre Unleashed is now accepting submissions for original one act and full length plays for our first season!. We are also accepting proposals for classical works. Submissions for the one acts are due by Feb. 16th. Proposal deadlines for the classical full-length is Feb. 22nd. Lastly, the submission deadline for the original full-length play is March 30th. We will be announcing our season at our company meeting on February 24th (with the exception of the original full-length play). Please direct all submissions to Artistic Director Phil Kelly.
